- Access: open cavities spray fast and thoroughly, at the lowest cost per board foot.
- Performance by design: the air barrier is built in, supporting blower-door targets and energy code.
- Coordination: foam slots between framing/rough-in and drywall - schedule it there.
Speccing by assembly
- Closed-cell: below grade, rim joists, exterior walls, roof decks.
- Open-cell: interior/demising walls where sound and budget lead.
- Confirm the thermal-barrier plan (drywall usually handles it in living space).
